Description

If you are on a more limited budget and have the time to conduct a majority of the research and writing, then the Guided Business Planning service should be the right choice for you.

What we will be doing is:

  • Guide and prioritise your efforts
  • Supply templates and other helpful materials
  • Help you avoid common business planning mistakes
  • Critique, edit, and format your drafts.

Note that this is not for the faint of heart. This is a lot of work and will require a full-time commitment for weeks or months, especially as you will be having your other business development tasks to do, or if you are doing this next to current work. Many entrepreneurs feel it makes more sense to focus on building the business.

The Guided Business Planning service includes:

  • 15-40 page document
  • A guided process where you are involved in the writing
  • Contains key elements necessary to get going
  • Suitable for simple and conventional business operations and/or entrepreneurs who are comfortable with financial planning or business writing
  • Business Plan is investor ready
  • 3 year forecasts
  • Monthly forecasts for first year
  • Delivery at your own pace (could be in as little as 1-2 weeks with full dedication)

The plan will usually cover most of the following (depending on your requirements):

  • Executive summary
  • Company, team and business model
  • The opportunity
  • Execution (including marketing, sales and operations)
  • Regulatory requirements (if relevant)
  • Intellectual property (if relevant)
  • Financial plan
  • Exit strategy

The first bits of information you should have to get started:

  • Business legal name
  • Name/Description of each product/service
  • Your financial expectations for the next 1-5 years
  • Brief resume of owner(s) and manager(s)
  • Funding required
  • Company mission

If financials are available:

  • Retail price of each product/service
  • Wholesale cost of each product/service
  • Percentage increase in sales annually
  • Name and dollar amount of each monthly expense
